ALDA is a web platform designed to overcome this barrier by utilizing language technology solutions to automate analysis and deliver key clinical metrics in seconds rather than hours. Driven by the need for digital transformation, we developed the tool we wanted to use in our own clinical practice.

ALDA is a secure, user-friendly platform that uses speech technology to convert speech into text, extract linguistic data from both audio and transcripts, and present it clearly. The platform supports clinicians across screening, diagnosis, and long-term monitoring. ALDA features built-in tasks and prompts for language sample collection. Clinicians can record samples directly within the platform or upload existing audio, review and refine the automated transcription, and instantly access objective numerical scores. Measured parameters include metrics for vocabulary diversity, syntactic complexity, word class distribution, speech hesitations, and more.

Clinicians can also use ALDA to manage the results of standardized tests and assessment instruments. This creates a comprehensive clinical overview of a client’s profile, facilitating long term monitoring and the evaluation of treatment efficacy.
